My daughter's late father in law, Samuel Connop Woodham was with 161 squadron out of Tempsford. Was shot down over Denmark in November 1944, evaded and returned to England about 10 days later. I have from the National Archives his debriefing report. Would you have any information of his other operations. I am preparing thi for his son, Pete Woodham.

Thank you Keith Williams

Visitor Comments: So may visitors state they have photos and albums of 138 squadron, could some of them be shared somehow, I only have one photo of my uncle J. E. STANTON in uniform (and one separate) to my name and I would love to be able to view others (if any are around)

Visitor Comments: It is with great sadness that I have to announce the death of John Ashcroft, a former brave member of 138 squadron. He leaves behind a widow Barbara, three sons and four grandchildren. Along with all his brave colleagues who sacrificed so much, he leaves behind a better safer world for us all live in.
John passed away peacefully on Sunday 25th September 2011.
The funeral will be held at 12 noon on Monday 3rd October at St Austin's Roman Catholic Church,  561 Aigburth Road, Garston, Liverpool, L19 0NU. The family has asked that rather than send flowers,  donations be made to  Cancer Research UK,

Visitor Comments: My uncle George Staudt Ragan belonged to the Cloak and Dagger Squadron and was the F/O for Hudson aircraft AE595 Operation Walnut. He along with his crew were shot down near Rhiene Germany on March 21 1945. We are creating a memorial for him and his siblings who were involved in the war. I was thrilled to find this sight and have been combing it for more information about my uncle and the missions he would have been involved in. Thank you for a great site.
