The Tempsford Special Duties Squadrons

 

This year's Summer Gathering was very important for me (Helen) - the first time I had been able to attend since 2009.

Since Bob died last year, I have been endeavouring to keep alive both his memory, and the work he did in making sure that the activities of 138 and 161 Squadrons are not forgotten.

I am extremely grateful to the TVARA members who are involved in making the Summer Gathering and Remembrance Sunday events run smoothly - for all our sakes! This includes those whose work at the Tempsford Village hall and museum has been extended to support our efforts.

To that end - a feature of this year's event was to present to the museum a memorial stone, commemorating the unveiling of the monument at Epernay to Francois Delimal. Sue and David went to France to collect the memorial stone.
