Visitor Comments: My father, Sgt. Brenard Stearman Nixon, was serving with 138 squadron at Tempsford, "The secret airfield". He was killed in action on 23rd December 1942. I have just recently found out about R.A.F. Tempsford and the secret missions they carried out. I would appreciate any photographs of the eight man crew, or information of relatives of same. Please contact Gloria Cottrill glocott@talktalk.net |

Visitor Comments: A few years ago, the daughter of F/O Noble wrote here asking about the loss of his Halifax aircraft and crew on 14 May 1943. Unfortunately her contact details were lost in a server crash. We are related to his wireless operator. If she sees this we would be delighted to hear from her.

Visitor Comments: My mothers cousin was Jimmy Bathgate (New Zealander), he flew for 161 squadron during late 1943 and was killed over France on 10/11 December. I have read Verity's book, which is fantastic, and wanted to contact or hear from anyone with photos or stories about Jimmy. |

Visitor Comments: I have just got my Dad's service record and discovered that he was at Tempsford in 1942 (as an anti-aircraft gunner I think). His name was William (Bill) Dudson. I wonder if anyone knows him? I wonder what he did? He was there between 6.3.42 and 26.7.42. I had never heard of this base before today - I live in Australia. |
